Borrisokane Community College held their annual 5km Fun Run and 6th year students versus teachers soccer match on Wednesday 26th of April in aid of the Irish Cancer Society and the Alzheimer Society of Ireland. The Students Council and Health Promoting Schools Team added a new touch this year and organised a colour dash. The whole school participated in this colourful and fun event with teacher Mr. O’Connell taking first place with a new personal best time. The teacher versus 6th year soccer match was a highly entertaining competition with the odd penalty. The whole school community would like to thank our very generous sponsors; Joe Hannigan for the use of his marquee, Benny Dunne, Britvic Ireland for sponsoring the water, Borrisokane FC and Borrisokane Athletics club for the use of their grounds and Michael Carroll Catering for the delicious pizza.
