Awards Ceremony 2023

Thanks to Donal Ryan who came to Borrisokane Community College on Monday to present the end of year awards.  Donal spoke to us on the importance of reading, living every day and enjoying life.  Thanks to Donal for spending time and discussing all things literature with our students.  Well done to all our award recipients.

Donal Ryan visited Borrisokane Community College School Library and met with the Library Committee presenting certificates to the students for their promotion of reading in the school.

Borrisokane Community College students Adam Bourke and Aine Leenane received the Tipperary ETB Ethos Awards at the Awards Ceremony from Board of Management member Maura Kennedy.

 

5th Year Ecology Field Trip

Our 5th year Biology students had a great day in Lullymore Heritage Park on Thursday.  It was great to get the opportunity to visit the heritage park as part of their ecological study of a woodland habitat.

 

ASF Moylussa Hike

Our ASF TYs hiked Moylussa on Thursday.  It was a great way to finish the Active School Flag classes for this year.

 

Erasmus Job Shadowing

We were delighted to welcome two colleagues from College Jean Rostand Doullens France this week.  They travelled on a Job Shadowing Mobility. It was great to exchange ideas of good practice.

 

LCA Assessment

Well done to our 6th Year Leaving Cert Applied students who completed their Hotel Catering and Tourism Practical on Tuesday  Agriculture Horticulture Assessment on Friday.

 

Junior Girls Soccer Blitz

Congratulations to our Junior Girls who won the ETB Blitz in Nenagh on Tuesday.  It was a series of great performances in each game that won the girls the competition.

 

Senior Girls Soccer

Hard luck to our senior girls who lost the final against Cahir on Wednesday.  It was a draw match for much of the second half but Cahir scored the winning goal in the last few minutes of the game. Well done girls on your performance.

  

1st Year Girls Basketball

Thanks to St. Marys in Nenagh who hosted our 1st girls for a game on Friday. It was great for the girls to have an end of year game and look forward to more basketball games next year.
