Borrisokane first and second year boys traveled to Heywood College in Laois for their last pool game on Thursday 25th February.
First years played in the first match and started poorly conceding many scores. There was a big improvement in their play after this. Despite their best efforts they lost the game to a very good team who are the pool winners and now go through to the next stage.
Second years played next against a very strong side also and struggled to gain control of the game. They also lost to the pool winners.
Heywood College’s experience showing clearly that they also play club basketball . It was a good experience for the Borrisokane players to compete against a team of this calibre.
