Research tells us that living a healthy life and eating a nutritious diet can improve mental health, enhance cognitive skills, concentration and memory and improve academic performance.

In Borrisokane Community College all students are given the opportunity to choose a lifestyle that is active, healthy, and meaningful. This will help prepare the student for an autonomous life. We take a whole school approach to Healthy Eating and Living in the hope of adopting a sense of ownership. This involves providing a physical and social environment that encourages healthy eating, teaching healthy eating and healthy living skills that extend outside of the classroom- Developing Important Life-skills.
