Senior Camogie
The senior camogie team had great success this year in Borrisokane Community College. Their success started with winning the Munster league final by defeating Cashel Community School in December. This was topped off with winning the Tipperary Senior ‘B’ school’s blitz in February. Well done to all the girls involved.
County Futsal Blitz
First Year Boys The first year boys Futsal squad competed in the County Futsal blitz on Tuesday Nov 10th.The Borrisokane boys performed excellently on the day,winning their group. On the 26th of April, 11 girls from Borrisokane Community College donated between 7- 12 inches of hair to the Little Princess Trust. Niamh Ryan, TY student in Borrioskane Community College was a finalist in this year’s Doodle4Google competition. She received a framed copy of her doodle, a Google goody bag and a personalised t-shirt from Head of Google, Ms Fionnuala Meehan, at Google headquarters in Dublin on 3rd April 2107.
Teachers volunteering in Sri Lanka
Two teachers, Ms Deirdre Kyne and Ms Eimear Mc Grath are volunteering in Sri Lanka this summer as part of a USIT Volunteer Program.
